Package: ess
Version: 12.04-4-1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

The ess package installs /usr/share/emacs/site-lisp/ess/noweb-mode.el.
This installation conflicts with the noweb package, which installs
/usr/share/emacs/site-lisp/noweb-mode.el. I'm reporting a bug against
ess because upstream, the file is ess-noweb-mode.el.

I would like this conflict to be resolved by adding the relevant files
to the Debian alternatives system.

Done.

The ESS folks are nice guys, and of course fans of no-web. Feel free to talk
to them directly. I quite literally just re-build their installation for
distribution within Debian.
