The original assumption is not correct and I hope the followup discussions on iproute2 (or the kernel) sorting is not expected to happen. The iproute2 set of utilities are really low level tools. If you want to build sorting and prettier printing on top of iproute2 you could simply write a script or similar to do it. Regards, Andreas Henriksson
