Package: emacs23-lucid
Version: 23.3+1-4
Severity: normal
Could you please incorporate either of the patches from 24.1 & .2
relevant to this upstream bug:
http://debbugs.gnu.org/cgi/bugreport.cgi?bug=6585
Specifically, emacs is quite often locking up for me now that I have
switched over from XEmacs, possibly because of a loop invoked from
font-lock timers (a bug will be submitted shortly). C-g C-g C-g and
USR2 doesn't yet cancel the loop, and I'd really really really like to
be able to debug this one sooner rather than later now that I've blown
away my XEmacs config!

It's been a few years with zero comments, so clearly those patches are not
goign to get backported to Emacs 23 in Debian. You should just upgrade to Emacs
24. (The current version is 24.3.)
