I have made a rel-3.0.0-beta1 git tag as we are just quite close to make
this big release. I am not providing this as an official version for
download, but I'd urge anyone using SWIG to try it out from git and
report any problems.
For the first release of 3.0.x I want all the possible non-backwards
compatible changes to be included. Later versions of 3.0.x can contain
the new features which are not yet incorporated, such as the Javascript
module and doxygen. I have in mind to still include the Lua revamp -
https://github.com/swig/swig/pull/104 into 3.0.0. I'd urge anyone with
Lua knowledge to help get this patch into shape so we can move forward
with the release.
