Dear Maintainer,
I uncommented and modified the BindAddress config directive in /etc/apt-cacher-
ng/acng.conf to read:
BindAddress: localhost
I then issued "sudo service apt-cacher-ng restart".
I expected the daemon to only be listening on lo/127.x but instead it continues
to listen on all interfaces. Relevant lines from netstat --tcp -an show below,
after restarting the daemon with the config change:
Active Internet connections (servers and established)
Proto Recv-Q Send-Q Local Address Foreign Address State
tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:3142 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN
tcp6 0 0 :::3142 :::* LISTEN
I also tried, without success:

No response for months, still looking like a local misconfiguration.
If there is still a problem, I suggest adding debug=7 to options in
/etc/default/apt-cacher-ng and watch the startup messages.
