Package: mutt
Version: 1.5.23-1
Severity: important

I was using mutt with maildir with:

~/Maildir/Inbox
~/Maildir/Outbox
~/Maildir/debian-infrastructure-announce.lists.debian.org
...

(With maildrop filter using ML signiture etc.)

With current mutt, these are changed to the followings in my back:

~/Maildir/.Inbox
~/Maildir/.Outbox
~/Maildir/.debian-infrastructure-announce_2Elists_2Edebian_2Eorg
...
~/Maildir/..maildir++

Since mutt changed these directory, it can not save changes once mail
directory contents are changed. I have to kill mutt.

"maildir++ 1" in ~/Maildir/..maildir++ which is newly generated.

This is such a surprize. Please do not do this without fair warning.

Hi,

Since I had 2 accident like this, I thought it is mutt issue. But it
did not happen again after filing this bug. Considering mutt has not
changed recently, I now think this not mutt issue.

Since I now avoid problematic characters in folder name, I do not think
I will hit this problem in future to reassign this bug.

I guess is some desktop GUI mail agent was the cause.

Anyway, I am closing this bug since this does not look like mutt problem.

Excuse me for the noise.

Osamu
