Hi All,
I am observing below error logs related to mcelog in syslog when ever the
my HW is resarted. My Hw is x86_64 mahcine running on linux 2.6.34.13.
May 14 00:50:54.703526 err mcelog: failed to prefill DIMM database from
DMI data
May 14 00:50:54.703792 err mcelog: Kernel does not support page offline
interface
I have found below mail chian related to this error log.
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=589187
Can you let me know if this issue is fixed on latest mcelog. If fixed can u
provide some inputs how we can fix this issue. The current mcelog version
on my system is mentioned below
mcelog 1.0pre.
Since these are harmeless warning messages i tried to supress these logs by
disabling memory prefill database option "dmi-prepopulate". On disbaling
this option the first DIMM error log is supressed but the second error log
is still observed. Can you let me know if i can supress the other error log
by another option and the effects of disabling these options.
Your inputs would help us in resolving this issue on HW.
Thanks
Abhinay

These are not issues.

The second message can be disabled by setting memory-ce-action to 'off' or
'account' as other options are not available on your hardware.
