Package: libpolyorb2-dev
Severity: wishlist

Hi,

this should be on the TODO list for jessie, it will probably involve a
library transition, so coordination with the release team is needed ...

libpolyorb3 and libpolyorb2-dev have diverged on the SOVERSION they use
in the package name ... to avoid confusion these should be in sync (or
preferrably the -dev package should not have a SOVERSION part in its
package name at all).

The number in the -dev package name is not an SOVERSION.
Please read the Debian Policy for Ada for details:

http://people.debian.org/~lbrenta/debian-ada-policy.html

This number is not a bug, it is a feature.
