Package: krb5-rsh-server
Version: 1.2.2-6
Severity: normal

When using `rsh -f -x hostname' to log into my machine, no ticket file is
created - the output from klist shows no tickets present and there is no
ticket file in /tmp. On the other hand, if I use 'rsh -f -x hostname klist',
I can see that a TGT has been placed in the ticket cache. Since the first
form connects to klogind and the second form to kshd, I suspect a problem
with the klogind.

If I use 'rsh -f -x hostname' to connect to a non-debian host, I get my tickets
forwarded as expected.

Version: 1.4.3-2

Somewhere along the line, this appears to have been fixed. I can no
longer duplicate this problem with the version of krb5-rsh-server in
unstable, even with krb4_convert turned on and krb.conf missing. I
haven't checked earlier versions, so I'm not sure exactly when the problem
was solved.

Even if I didn't test this properly somehow (I don't actually have a cell
running krb524d, so maybe it doesn't get far enough to see the problem?),
krb4_convert is no longer the default in kerberos-configs, which was the
other discussed solution to this.

Since the krb4 support is going to be removed upstream, even if this isn't
completely solved, there won't be any more complete solution forthcoming.
