Subject: xwit could search on class too

Package: xwit
Version: 3.4-4
Priority: wishlist
adding a -classes option, and adding hooks to downtree() to support
XGetTextProperty(wm_class) and XTextPropertyToStringList, would allow
xwit to do things like "move all xterms"... or in the case for which I
want the feature, my .xinitrc starts a single xterm, whose name I
won't know (the shell changes it quickly) so using xwit to warp cursor
to "all windows of class XTerm" namely that single one, would be
useful. One might even generalize it as "-useprop ATOMNAME", so I'd
do "-useprop WM_CLASS -names XTerm", but WM_CLIENT_MACHINE and
WM_COMMAND would also be useful properties to fill in there...
Also, IWBNI if the large chunks of dsimple.c, like Select_Window_Args
and everything down from it, which are *not called by anything else in
xwit* would be #if 0'd out, or even deleted altogether, it would be
less distracting to make changes like this.
[if I get around to it I'll submit patches as an appendix to this
wishlist bug-report -- I just didn't want the idea to get lost track
of.]
