Package: crystalspace
Version: 0.96-20030205-4
Severity: normal
I just downloaded the binary release of Planeshift from sourceforge.net
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/planeshift/planeshift-0.2.6.tar.bz2?download
The game does not start, but states the following:
tux@rantanplan:/vol/local/planeshift
> ./pssetup
Warning: Failed to load `xwin'; use '-verbose' argument for details.
Warning: Failed to load `xwin'; use '-verbose' argument for details.

WARNING: failed to initialize plugin 'crystalspace.graphics2d.x2d'
aws-debug: Couldn't find iGraphics2D plugin!!
Couldn't load iGraphics2D plugin!
Error initializing system!
tux@rantanplan:/vol/local/planeshift
> ./psclient

./psclient: line 43: 14195 Segmentation fault bin/psclient $@
I assume a plugin (iGraphics2D ?) was not compiled in, but i'm not familar
with crystalspace at all.
It would be great if this game would be playable in Debian. Perhaps I
find time to package it into a deb.
thanks,
Reinhard.

I'm going to close this bug report since it is
- outdated
- related to non-free software that is not packaged for Debian
- not an issue that can be solved in the current crystalspace package

Markus
