I tried to compile fampp2.sourceforge.net's fampp2-3.5.2, which
needs stlport. Its configure script died because pkg-config couldn't
find stlport.pc, which was fixed by providing one (hand-crafted, I
have no idea whether it will work beyond configure). If there's a
valid reason for not providing it, maybe documenting this in
README.Debian or somewhere would be nice (or maybe it was already
documented, I just couldn't find ...)

A stlport.pc file is not provided upstream. That is why I think the
report is not valid. Please reopen it if you think otherwise.
