Actually it might be related to flash-kernel after all. I just fixed
#759720 which was about flash-kernels failing to boot with encrypted
rootfs due to unusual root-parameter handling. The original submitter
suggested that this bugreport (#707641) might have the same cause.

I'l close this bugreport now as it might be the same one as #759720.
Additionally, I'm neither able to reproduce it (due to missing access to
similar hardware) nor to understand it (due to missing details).
