Package: emacs23
Version: 23.1+1-4
Severity: normal
I use -misc-fixed-medium-r-normal-*-*-120-*-*-c-*-iso8859-15 as default
font for emacs. If I type $a_1^2$ in latex mode, numbers 1 and 2 appear in
a font that looks very ugly. Normally, emacs uses a smaller font for sub-
and superscripts in latex mode. The same is true for font
-misc-fixed-*-*-*-*-16-*-*-*-c-*-iso8859-15.
Also, if I use the font,
-misc-fixed-medium-r-normal-*-*-100-*-*-c-*-iso8859-15, the font shown in
emacs is quite ugly.
I removed /etc/fonts/conf.d/70-no-bitmaps.conf and fc-cache -f to enable
bitmap fonts. Apart from this, my font configuration is unaltered from the
default Xorg install.
These problems are not present on FreeBSD 7.2.
