Hello,

I wonder if you could help me solve a problem I am haing with samba on
debian sarge. kernel 2.6.8-1-386. There seems to be something which is
adding "noexec" to my mount line which is breaking the mount

I do this command

$ mount now1g
Password:

Then in the logs there are errors:

/var/log/syslog
Mar 6 15:45:21 now2g kernel: smbfs: Unrecognized mount option noexec

/var/log/messages
Mar 6 15:45:21 now2g kernel: smbfs: Unrecognized mount option noexec

/etc/fstab  line:

//now1g/now3d /home/now3d/now1g smbfs users,username=now3d,noauto 0 0

Any ideas what the problem could be or how I can fix it?

Kind regards
JG

Well, I'm then afraid that no-one can really investigate what may have
been "user error" in some kind. Hence closing the bug report.
