Package: libvmime0
Version: 0.9.1-1
Severity: serious

Hi,

It seems that vmime 0.9.1-1 is not binary compatible with
the version 0.9.0-1.1 as available in squeeze.

This can be seen by creating a simple test program from
the examples linking it in squeeze. Running it under
valgrind in squeeze should not generate any error,
running under testing or sid will generate many errors,
all related to the posixHandler.

The test program actually seems to be running succesfully,
but my real program crashes later in malloc() saying there
is memory corruption.

The problem is most likely that pointers got changed
to a ref<> in
/usr/include/vmime/platforms/posix/posixHandler.hpp,
and maybe other places.

Kurt
