Package: mpd
Version: 0.15.12-1.1
Severity: normal

mpd is capable of indexing m4a files, but the meta info is not all there. the
artist name and album name work fine, but the track number is always 0 and
the genre is sometimes not being read properly.

output from a problem file:

AtomicParsley 01\ S\ Z\ 2.m4a -t
Atom "©nam" contains: S Z 2
Atom "©ART" contains: Battles
Atom "©alb" contains: B EP
Atom "gnre" contains: Rock
Atom "trkn" contains: 1 of 5
Atom "disk" contains: 1 of 1
Atom "©day" contains: 2004
Atom "cpil" contains: false
Atom "tmpo" contains: 0
Atom "©too" contains: iTunes v4.7.1

mpd database contains:

begin: Battles
directory: B EP
mtime: 1301612543
begin: Battles/B EP
songList begin
key: 01 S Z 2.m4a
file: Battles/B EP/01 S Z 2.m4a
Time: 559
Title: S Z 2
Artist: Battles
Date: 2004
Album: B EP
Track: 0
mtime: 1301064374

the tracks play fine. which component is responsible for reading the meta info
of m4a files?
