The Makefile.in sets the optimizations to -O0. That wastes space and
CPU cycles, please use -O2 as mandated by policy.

Version: 1.11-4

1.11-4 compiles with correct optimisation (-O2). It may have been fixed
by the new upstream 1.11, as I haven't specifically changed anything to
fix this.
