Hi,
The .desktop file shipped with the Icedove package has an entry
"StartupWMClass" with value "Icedove-bin". I believe this was necessary some
time ago when Icedove was launched differently but it seems that it's now
outdated since the value set for WM_CLASS by the application doesn't contain
"-bin" anymore :
raph@arche:~$ xprop | grep CLASS
WM_CLASS(STRING) = "Mail", "Icedove"
This disturbs application launchers, for example I tried plank from
experimental and it had some trouble matching the window to the correct
launcher/icon.
Unless there is some valid reason to keep the "Icedove-bin" value for
StartupWMClass, I suggest to change it to simply "Icedove" (a patch for the
current sid version is included), hopefully before jessie is released.
