Package: sox
Version: 12.17.2-1
Severity: wishlist
I wish sox had a nicer cmdline parser. Or I would understand the way
the authors are thinking. Or at least the manpage would be nicer.
Every time I want to use sox for something I'm sitting there half an
hour trying to figure out how to specify filters/output rate and so
on. sox just does either simply ignore what I'm specifying or gives
unhelpful error messages.
This is just a feedback. Maybe if I had the time I would rewrite the
cmdline parser, maybe in perl (and dissect sox in a library with an xs
wrapper).
Thanks for reading,
Christian.

Ok, this is a general problem with sox and might only be
solveable be rewriting the cmdline parser.
