It causes backup manager to come up and make a copy which is similarly unloadable, lather, rinse, repeat. :-) It is not simple to see at first glance the culprit of the problem and it's not easy to figure it out either. I had to print the actual 'name' in /usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/taskcoachlib/persistence/autobackup.py around line 143 to see which file was unwanted.
