Package: pidgin
Version: 2.0.1-1
Severity: normal
ICQ supports associating an email address with an ICQ number, and then using
that email address in place of the ICQ number everywhere. Pidgin does not
seem to support logging into an ICQ account using an email address as the
screen name; it always fails, claiming an incorrect password. If the screen
name contains the corresponding ICQ number instead, Pidgin can log in just
fine. Perhaps a protocol issue?
