Package: emacs22
Version: 22.2+2-2
Severity: normal

I've used the Options -> Set Font menu option to set the default font to fixed
instead of courier. However, when I start emacs, the first frame to display
still uses courier; subsequent frames opened using C-x 5 2 or C-x 5 f use the
font I set. When the default font is as unbelievably ugly as courier, this
gets quite annoying.

I've tested this with both emacs22 and emacs22-gtk, and both seem to have the
same problem.

This bug has been reported against an ancient version of emacs (emacs21,
emacs22) that is no longer supported. It is assumed to be fixed (or no
longer relevant) in newer releases and therefore I'm closing this report
now. If the problem is still reproducible in the current version
(emacs24), feel free to provide more information and reopen this bug report.

Andreas
