Package: bind9
Version: N/A; reported 2002-09-11
Severity: wishlist

Hi,

named-checkconf and named-checkzone are not included with bind8, but
with bind9. Having them available on a system running bind 8 is a good
idea, but this is not possible with the current packaging.

Please consider moving them to a dedicated package, or at least to a
package that does not conflict with bind 8.

Greetings
Marc

Hi, Marc:

The named-checkconf and named-checkzone utilities were split into a
separate "bind9utils" package a number of years ago, so I'm closing this
bug report.
