Package: bind9
Version: +N/A; reported 2002-10-01
Severity: wishlist

The bind9 package contains both the daemon and a bunch of
utilities. Some (if not all) of these can be useful on other hosts
than the one running bind (rndc, etc...)

Maybe the bind9 package should be split into a bind9 package just
containing the daemon and another bind9-utils package containing the
other tools with bind9 depending on bind9-utils.

Phil.

Hi,

The bind9utils package was split out of the bind9 server package a
number of years ago, but the bugs relating to that split were never
closed, so I'm closing this bug report.
