--- Begin Message ---Package: gnome-libs-data Version: 1.4.1.4-3 Severity: important I have finally found what caused my GNOME application to not being able to print. There was a Gnumeric bug report related to this, although Gnumeric is finally, not responsible. It turns out someone here changed the first line of /etc/paper.config from [Paper], to [A4]. Nice from that person, but as a result, libgnomeprint is incredibly confused. There many complaints from the various tools, before they die. So *please*, have a decent check somewhere that makes sure libgnomeprint complains understandly that it has no known paper. Thanks! Akim, happy to have found it after months (yeah, months) of problems. -- System Information Debian Release: 3.0 Kernel Version: Linux nostromo 2.4.17 #9 Wed Jan 2 19:07:31 CET 2002 i686 unknown Versions of the packages gnome-libs-data depends on: ii gnome-bin 1.4.1.4-3 Miscellaneous binaries used by Gnome --- Begin /etc/paper.config (modified conffile) [Paper] US-Letter={612 792 72 72 72 72} US-Legal={612 1008 72 72 72 72} A3={841.88976 1190.5512 80 80 80 80 } A4={595.27559 841.88976 80 80 80 80} A5={420.94488 595.27559 80 80 80 80} B4={730 1034 60 60 60 60} B5={500 710 80 80 80 80} B5-Japan={517 730 80 80 80 80} Half-Letter={612 397 72 72 72 72} Executive={523 758 72 72 72 72} Tabloid/Ledger={794 1227 72 72 72 72} Monarch={280 542 10 10 10 10} SuperB={843 1227 80 80 80 80} Envelope-Commercial={298 686 5 5 5 5} Envelope-Monarch={280 542 5 5 5 5} Envelope-DL={312 625 5 5 5 5} Envelope-C5={460 650 5 5 5 5} EuroPostcard={298 420 5 5 5 5} --- End /etc/paper.config
