If I run "pbuilder build --binary-arch foo.dsc", pbuilder still
installs all the Build-Depends-Indep of foo. This wastes time, and also
makes pbuilder less useful for build testing (packages sometimes fail to

This does not happen now, assuming this got fixed somewhen...
Please reopen if this is still happen, specifying which resolver you're
using (I tried only with aptitude-based, I assume the classic works too,
dunno the others).
