The directory name monitrc.d is confusing because one may think that
these config files are taken into account by default, as this is
usually the case. Indeed, it is a convention that if one has a config
file foo or foo.conf, and a foo.d directory exists by default, then
the config files in foo.d are taken into account by default.
See for instance:

/etc/bash_completion.d
/etc/logrotate.d
/etc/pam.d
/etc/rsyslog.d
/etc/sudoers.d
/etc/sysctl.d
So, this directory should be renamed to something like "examples.d".
