Line 84 of main_assistant.cpp requires the KDevelop directory in
/usr/share/apps to be named "kdevelop" and not "kdevelop3". When
kdevassistant fails to load the splash-screen image, it crashes
immediatly.
The incriminating line is:

I don't think a patch is necessary for the maintainer to fix that problem :)
