ovirt-guest-agent service is enabled via:
# systemctl enable ovirt-guest-agent.service
# systemctl start ovirt-guest-agent.service
...but the init-script always exits and returns 0.
The reason for this is that in line 23 the init-script tests the
existence _and_ executablity of the daemon python-script
/usr/share/ovirt-guest-agent/ovirt-guest-agent.py
This file is not installed with the executable bit set.
So I guess either the init-script in line 23 should be changed from
[ -x $DAEMON ] || exit 0
to
[ -e $DAEMON ] || exit 0
or the file(s) in /usr/share/ovirt-guest-agent/ should be installed
executable.
This is on a Debian Jessie:
