Package: ifupdown
Version: 0.6.4-4.8
Severity: wishlist

Please provide the ability to say "duplex full" and "speed 100" (And
other variations) in /etc/network/interfaces.

The best way (I think) we be to depend on ethtool and push the
settings that way.

If you like the idea, I will write the patch.

Tks,
Jeff Bailey

The ethtool package provides hooks for ifupdown to do this. Example:

iface eth0 inet dhcp
        link-speed 100
        link-duplex full
