Package: websvn
Severity: minor
Hi,
While investigating websvn I encountered some issues you may want to improve:
- Package includes a number of patches in debian/patches/ that are
obsolete and hence not in series. That confused me. Maybe remove the
patches from there?
- Still alternatively depends on php4 packages and Apache config file has
a snippet for php4
- Build-depends on quilt and has quilt in debian/rules. but is source format
3.0 (quilt) so this is unnecessary.
- Build-Depends-Indep on sed which is essential
- patches/21_fix_conf_file.patch is a no-op: adds "?>" to file which is
not required by PHP to be at EOF at all; or is even suboptimal since it's
now trivial to inadvertently add whitespace after it which will break
headers and downloads. Same goes for the config which is generated in
debian/rules, that could also do without the final "?>"
Just sharing these observations in the hope they will be useful.
Cheers,
Thijs
