Dear Maintainer,
I have been using xsane with an Epson 1640SU scanner with xsane with
excellent results for many years.
However, the "Wait for Button" control now no longer works when
scanning. It *does* seem to work on an initial preview, but then
even that fails. It is as if the first time it is used, something
happens to disable subsequent attempts.
