Hello,
currently you have a wrapper around the console binary to support the
use of a conf-file. Since 8.1.6 console supports a system-wide
console.cf as well as a per-user .consolerc.
Perhaps using this you could now migrate back from the wrapper and use
the native conf-file instead. If you intend to dynamically create a
console.cf file, probably think about using ucf. If you need help with
ucf, please feel free to ask :) I'm not an ucf-expert but I think I
could figure it out :)
