in /etc/default/babeld:

This check is erroneous since interfaces can be defined in
/etc/babeld.conf, too. For instance:

Thus, starting babeld without interfaces mentioned in
/etc/default/babeld is possible - /etc/init.d/babeld should not exit, then.
