package: gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly
severity: wishlist

Hello Sebastian,

now that mpg123 is considered free (#292260) and does provide a shared library (#52020), it would be nice [tm] to have an MPG123 output plugin in one of the GStreamer plugins packages as an alternative to the libmad decoder. It's not that I consider the libmad decoder a bad plugin, but it's always nice to have alternatives at hand... ;)

I have chosen the -ugly plugins package for this wishlist report, since it already includes the libmad plugin (which does not make it into -base or -good because of MPEG patent issues, I guess?).

Cheers,
Fabian
