Package: courier-imap
Version: 3.0.8-3
Severity: important

If the IDLE command is used and you connect with Thunderbird (German 1.0)
having IDLE support enabled you get these error messages at each login:

Feb 6 19:36:11 mail imaplogin: malloc: Input/output error
Feb  6 19:36:13 mail imaplogin: LOGOUT, user=whatever,
ip=[::ffff:212.221.107.132], headers=0, body=0, time=3
Feb  6 19:36:13 mail imaplogin: LOGOUT, user=whatever,
ip=[::ffff:212.221.107.132], headers=273, body=1922, time=41

If you use SSL the message looks like this:
Feb  6 19:36:13 mail imapd-ssl: malloc: Input/output error

It seems this problem has been there for a while, as there is also an italian
report on http://lists.debian.org/debian-italian/2004/11/msg00729.html

I did not experience any data loss yet, but removed the IDLE capability just to
be sure for now.

Best regards,

Frederik

I am closing all pre-wheezy bug reports and non-critical wheezy bug
reports. If you can reproduce the issue using jessie (or even better
current unstable), feel free to reopen the bug.

Cheers,
