Package: privoxy
Version: 3.0.12-2
Severity: normal

Hi,

Example: forward to TOR
   forward-socks5 / localhost:9050 .

Now privoxy tries IPv6, which fails, because TOR doesn't support IPv6 (and
doesn't listen on ::1).
Solution: privoxy should retry with IPv4. Other solutions, like using 127.0.0.1
or removing
`::1 localhost' from /etc/hosts are just work-arounds, that will fail when
everything
switches to IPv6 (ha!).

Cheers,
harry

Sorry for the long delay...

This issue seems to be fixed with the official IPv6 support that was
introduced with 3.0.13 (the versions up to 3.0.12 contained an
unofficial IPv6 patch).

I cross checked this and while 3.0.12-2 still shows your described
issue, 3.0.13-1 as well as current versions have this fixed.

Tschoeeee
