According to htop, it uses more than 3 GB of RES memory. Shortly after its RES memory goes back below 1 GB. During this time (at least at the beginning), everything is frozen (including the mouse pointer) as my 4 GB machine swaps; it seems that Iceweasel was using around 4 or 5 GB at the beginning, as there was more than 1 GB used swap.
