Dear Maintainer,
To reproduce, run "drush topic docs-aliases" (other topics also
trigger the bug). The expected behaviour is for the documentation for the
relevant topic to be printed. Instead, the following is produced:
/usr/share/php/drush/examples/example.aliases.drushrc.php: No such file or
directory
The example files are present and installed to /usr/share/doc/drush but not
detected. This was previously fixed as tracked in Ubuntu bug 794493[0], but
this has now regressed.
The fix for that bug locates the documentation files by checking standard
locations (including /usr/share/doc/drush) for a README.md file. This file is
included in the Debian package, but is installed compressed at README.md.gz,
so is not detected by drush. It therefore falls back to the default of
/usr/share/php/drush/examples, and fails to find them.
