Source: libva
Version: 1.6.2-2
Severity: important
Dear Maintainer,
I get an error running vainfo on plain jessie. Therefore I made backports of
libva from
testing and installed them, but it still doesnt work. I only get a different
error message.
This is what get after installing the backports for libva:
jba@lisa:~$ vainfo
libva info: VA-API version 0.38.1
libva info: va_getDriverName() returns 0
libva info: Trying to open /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/dri/i965_drv_video.so
libva info: Found init function __vaDriverInit_0_38
vainfo: intel_memman.c:39: intel_memman_init: Assertion `intel->bufmgr' failed.
Abgebrochen
jba@lisa:~$
These are the backports I used:
-rw-r--r-- 1 jba jba 51576 Mär 11 22:03 libva1_1.6.2-2~bpo80+1_amd64.deb
-rw-r--r-- 1 jba jba 119592 Mär 11 22:03 libva-dev_1.6.2-2~bpo80+1_amd64.deb

Unfortunately I did not save the error message from plain jessie.
My system has an intel skylake cpu and Intel H170 Chipset.
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Device 1912 (rev 06)
X is running fine with kernel (4.3.0-0.bpo.1-amd64) and xserver-xorg-video-intel
from jessie-backports.
Regards,
Juergen

1.7.0 added a bunch of new Skylake IDs, so this issue might be fixed in 1.7.0.
I'm closing it for now. If that's not the case, please feel free to reopen the
bug report.
Cheers
