If a Chinese input method is active, the Esc key is used to clear the input
area of mistakes and start over. For example, if I want to type "aaaa" and
accidentally typed "sss" instead, I can press the "Esc" key to clear the "sss"
so that I can type "aaaa" which is what I want.
In Gimp the above cannot be done. For example, if I want to rename a layer:
1. User brings up the layers dialog
2. User double-clicks the layer name
3. User types the new layer name, makes a mistake, and discovers the mistakes
before pressing Space to send the current character
4. User presses Esc (This should only be seen by the input method)
5. Gimp cancels the text input (and user scratches his/her head)
