Package: totem-gstreamer
Version: 1.4.1-2
Severity: wishlist

It usually happens that the video ratio doesn't fit the screen. For
example, when looking to a 16:9 video on a 4:3 screen, or widescreen
(2.35:1) video on a widescreen (16:10) screen.

In such cases, it would be nice if it were possible to display the
subtitles in the black part of the screen instead of over the video.

This is supposed to be fixed with a recent version of totem, so I'm
going to close this old bug report. If you still encounter the issue,
please file a new bug report.

Regards,
Michael
