Package: udev
Version: 0.081-1
Severity: normal

Since upgrading to this udev I have trouble with a compact flash card in
a PCMCIA adapter. When I insert the card, the kernel scans it and then
prints the partition list non-stop.

udevd chews a lot of CPU. The rest of the normal hotplug process (hal,
gnome-volume-manager etc) never happens. If I remove the device, the
machine will hang soon after.

If I boot without udev loaded, this doesn't happen. I get a single
partition scan and I can mount the device properly. As soon as I then
start udev, the rescanning starts.
