Package: i3-wm
Version: 4.12-2
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

bindsym --whole-window used to work fine until a few versions ago.
I have this line in my config:
bindsym --whole-window button8 exec --no-startup-id i3-msg exec ~/bin/openurl;
workspace number "2: web"

where ~/bin/openurl is a script opening the current selection in my browser.
The purpose of --whole-window is that you don't have to move the mouse on the
border of the window to make it work, and that's the part not working anymore.
i3 behaves like it's ignoring --whole-window completely. If I press button8 on
the title bar, it's fine but not anywhere in the window.

bindsym $mod+g exec --no-startup-id i3-msg exec ~/bin/openurl;  workspace
number "2: web"
on the other hand works as expected.
