Package: xfig
Version: 3.2.5-alpha5-3

Whan attempting to include a picture (I've tested both eps & png) into a
figure on the powerpc platform (iBook G3), xfig segfaults. Likewise if I
try to open an existing figure with an included graphic. The following
messages show the effect of creating a new xfig file, including a
picture and then trying to open the autosave file -- which does open
correctly on an x86 box):

# Opening new fig
james@ephiny:/common/Data/Documents/LASCO_SMEI_Ulysses$ xfig test.fig

xfig3.2.5-alpha5: SIGSEGV signal trapped
xfig: attempting to save figure
xfig: 1 object(s) saved in
"/common/Data/Documents/LASCO_SMEI_Ulysses/SAVE.fig"
Aborted

# Opening emergency save file.
james@ephiny:/common/Data/Documents/LASCO_SMEI_Ulysses$ xfig SAVE.fig

xfig3.2.5-alpha5: SIGSEGV signal trapped
xfig: figure empty or not modified - exiting
Aborted

Identical messages result for an existing file copied over from the x86
box (along with the included graphics of course).

After five months without a feedback, I close this bug report now.
Feel free to reopen it, if you still can reproduce it or have any new
input.

Greetings
