Package: postgresql-common
Version: 41
Severity: important

The supported-versions script in this package does not support
'unstable' as reported by 'lsb_release -rs' on my system. This is
trivial to fix. Also I was wondering why only versions 7.4 and 8.1 are
listed as supported versions by the script. There is a package for 8.0
as well.

This has recently been fixed, but I forgot to add the bug number to
the changelog:

postgresql-common (42) unstable; urgency=3Dlow

  * PgCommon.pm, change_ugid(): Implement initgroups() like behaviour to al=
low
    running the postmaster in auxiliary groups. This is necessary for e. g.
    reading shared SSL certificates.
  * t/TestLib.pm, exec_as(): Also change group id, in order to be able to r=
ead
    SSL certificates which are only group readable (which previously caused
    the test suite to fail).
  * debian/supported-versions: Add lsb_release output case 'unstable' to co=
pe
    with recent lsb-release change. Closes: #351475
