Package: mutt
Version: 1.7.1-1
Severity: important

Dear all,

with mutt 1.7.0 I disabled all my gpg setup in mutt and followed
the advise to have only
        set pgp_use_gpg_agent=yes
in my mutt configuration.

Unfortunately, now I cannot decrypt any messages anymore. I see the
following messages:
        Could not decrypt PGP message
followed by
        Could not copy message

My setup is a lot of maildirs synced via offlineimap.

The gpg key is moved out onto a smartcard/usb (yubikey).
Normal gpg operations don't have any problem accessing the card/keys.

Hi all

> I'm also using subkeys saved in a smartcard and everything works fine for me.

Thanks for confirmation. I have now found the problem: At the top of
my .muttrc (grown over 15 years) I had
        reset all
to make sure that everything is configured as I like it.

But this killed somehow the rest of the pgp/gpg configuration, even when
setting
        pgp_use_gpg_agent=yes
later on.

Closing this bug, sorry for the noise.

Norbert
