Package: nagios3
Severity: wishlist

Hi,

With Nagios it is possible to create your own Event Broker module
(http://nagios.sourceforge.net/download/contrib/documentation/misc/NEB%202x%20Module%20API.pdf).

I have created an Event Broker module for Nagios and i want to create a
Debian package for the apt repository of my company. I use pbuilder
to create my own package. For build-depends i created a nagios3-dev package to satisfy build-depends for my Debian package. I have changed the nagios3 package from the Wheezy.

$ debian/control
[...]
+Package: nagios3-dev
+Section: libdevel
+Priority: extra
+Architecture: all
+Depends: ${misc:Depends},
+         ${perl:Depends},
+         ${shlibs:Depends}
+Description: Nagios3 development files
+ Nagios is a monitoring and management system for hosts, services and
+ networks.
+ .
+ The development headers for compiling programs that use nagios3-core
+ are provided by this package.
+ .
+ Upstream URL: http://www.nagios.org/

$ debian/nagios3-dev.install
include/* usr/include/nagios3-dev/

I would like that this nagios3-dev will become available for other programmers at the official Debian repository so more people can enjoy NEB extension of Nagios.

Regards,

Frank
