Package: virtualbox-guest-x11
Severity: important
X-Debbugs-CC: [email protected]

Dear maintainer,

after upgrading from jessie to stretch inside VirtualBox (Whonix), X is
no longer starting.

Even though the old kernel module was uninstalled and the new one
installed by dkms during upgrade.

no suitable module for running kernel

After "sudo apt-get purge virtualbox-guest-utils" and "sudo apt-get
install virtualbox-guest-x11" everything is back to normal.

Cheers,
Patrick

strange, because the kernel module has nothing to deal with the guest-x11
package
(it is the guest-dkms providing the kernel module)

anyway, can you please try the version from unstable?

G.
